I have made a short journal video on Toba Tek Singh. The journal was written by 11 years old boy on his birthday. The boy and his mother were about to celebrate his birthday when uninvited group of people came into their house looking for him. These group of people were member of united we stand association consisted of both members from India and Pakistan who are from different religions. Their main aim is to unite India and Pakistan and to do so they were need of Toba Tek Singh. Toba Tek Singh was an intellectual lawyer in his previous life. He was leader of united we stand association and he has put his entire life for reunion of India and Pakistan. The purpose of association was he and his association want to save the people from Taliban and other brutal leaders and also help people to reunite with their family who were separated during the partition. The united we stand association was started few years after the partition by Toba Tek Singh and his friends. The association keeps on growing year by year .They were about to implement the plan lead by Toba Tek on 26 the January 1980s when Taliban came and arrested them all. Taliban shot Toba Tek, when they discovered that he was not ordinary man and killed some and released few of them after 2 years in prison. Before the death of Toba Tek, he has written a letter to his fellow remaining members stating they need to continue working on their plan and where they could find his reincarnation .The fellow members kept on with the plan and search the his reincarnation for 10 years and at last they found someone but who could not remember anything at all. Now the question is how to make him remember his past life and keep on with plan.

My aim of making that small journal is bring awareness among the modern people regarding the partition, its effect on people and bring light to the heroes who had sacrificed their live for the betterment of people and country. Many of us are narrow minded people who is seeing everything perfect when we are having good life and never look into past and thank the people who had sacrificed their life for the betterment of our life. I hope through this small video of mine people would look into the past history and help our heroes to fulfil their remaining hope, wishes and thank them. I have full hope that today’s people would not make the same mistake as in the past. One day we will rebuild the India and Pakistan into one big nation and save the life of people and give the people better life. Let’s we all be the members of united we stand be the modern (reincarnation of) Toba Tek Singh.

The partition between India and Pakistan had fulfilled the cruel plan of our common enemy British. The tension between Hindus and Muslims did exist before the British raj was established but many Muslims, Hindus and Sikhs also co-existed peacefully. When the British came to rule they used strategy of divided rule. They enforced specific measures like the scientific census and the formation of separate electorate for Muslims which led to the religious identities. Later religious identity became more important than the language or nationalism. Muslim league demanded separate state for Muslims. In our mind in 1947, British divided India and Pakistan and both nations got freedoms and live happily ever after  but the harsh reality is the British left India after partitioned India into two nation states, India and Pakistan, India was to remain secular with Hindu majority and Pakistan was to have a Muslims majority. This led to the one of the largest human migrations in the history. An estimated 15 million people were uprooted as Muslims and began marching to Pakistan while Hindu and Sikhs went on the other way. Between millions of people lost their lives due to large scale of religious violence, starvation and disease. More than 750000 women were raped or abducted and some suicide to preserve their honoured. Partition separated thousands of families. Even today many families are still divided. Two countries remain bitter rivals. The result of partition was truly harsh.

Toba Tek Singh represents the voices of the people which remain unheard because it was muted by someone. There is no particular person who is the reincarnation of Toba Tek Singh. He want all of us to be the reincarnation of him and want us to help the 1.6 billion people who are still living in the shadow of partition. Let not repeat the mistakes we had made in our history and rebuild the India and Pakistan into a one big nation once again. Let be brothers and sisters like we were before British and remain being big family forever and ever .......
